5thYear_1 5thYr_2

I'm getting incredulously bored with mulling over my last assignment for this semester and thought I will let my other thoughts flow in this blog. I haven't written in the longest time and feel like pouring out here tonight:)

"How's married life?", many would ask and I would reply with a smile that I'm absolutely loving it and really happy to be living in my Dream Home with James Boy...I have always wanted a house that I can be proud of and show hospitality to family and friends, love to play host. We are going to celebrate our 5th year together and 5th month of marriage coming 28th and 22nd April respectively. What's with number 5 eh?:) haha!:) We enjoy cooking together, something therapeutic for us to do after a long busy day at work... enjoy the cutting and cooking:) We've mastered some decent dishes that we can cook for people to eat, our fave spanish omelette (potato-cubes as base, tipped with egg, ham, shitake mushrooms, red pepper), beef marinated in red wine, pasta (linguine with tomato-based prego sauce with loads of ingredients), stir-fried vegetables, tom yam noodles and most recently fried soba with ham/meat. :) We like relaxing on our barang barang sofa for a movie date or watching 'American Idol, Ninja Warrior, etc' together after our work day. Always look fwd to weekend when I don't have assignments to do, so we will go out for good food, shop around, do housework, grocery shopping, meet up with family and friends and go church.

We are in transition actually as we are seriously considering moving to LSBC for good. I have been struggling for so many years. What always held me back is the deep friendships and bonds I share with my good old friends where we all grew up together and went through different phases together. But I really lack motivation to go for the true purpose to worship God and be renewed in mind and spirit. So after months of going for the sake of going, we went LSBC for Easter Service and I think that's a very good start - it's like a new beginning of our Christian Life. I don't know how we will transit, but we hope to do so responsibly and not 'burn bridges' as what Uncle Chris said. There are very very good people but I guess we don't see ourselves there in the long run...so we are moving on and making transitions. It was only our first time going to LSBC last Sunday, so we will see how we will move on from there. Another objective is to bring my brother to church - I brought him several times before our wedding and he was keen to go but we stopped when we got busy with wedding preps. I teared like mad during the worship, thinking about how much I would miss bsc and the people there when we eventually move. This is going to be difficult, but I believe necessary.

Uncle Chris and family & Junwen came over for dinner on 1st April:) He spoke about his vision from the Lord to set up 'FIREPLACES' and he asked us to consider opening our home for a Bible Study Group next year. A fireplace lights up the home (shining testimony!), shares warmth (fellowship and warmth of Christian love) and provides food (nourishment of Spiritual food and supper!) - i like the analogy of the fireplace - we will see how this goes...definitely open for consideration. :)

Workwise, been loaded with responsibilities, not sure if I really want to go for the HODship in the upcoming 2-3 years and whether I am up to it. But yea, been taking on stuff and the year started off really overwhelming, things are running now so it's better, but now got more add-on big stuff...haiyoh. The future is uncertain yet very very exciting, as we hope to start a family soon...james boy may do his masters overseas...i'm finishing off my degree this year. So yea, lots to look forward to, but meanwhile, I have to finish up my last TMA (tutor marked assignment!)...wanna do a hat-trick by scoring my third 80 marks. haha...Maybe not...this last one so difficult. :( May God grant me grace, diligence, focused-mind, motivation, inspiration and flow of thought to complete this essay. I have another 24 hours to deadline. :(

May the words of my mouth
And the meditation of my heart
Be pleasing to You.

more043

It's been a whole load of excitement since the day we walked down the aisle on 22nd November 2008. Marriage life has been awesome with James Boy as my husband. : ) With the whole line up of things to look forward. we journeyed each day with much anticipation and joy. We headed Bali for a really beautiful honeymoon 2 days after our wedding day and had an absolutely relaxing time, just busking in the old-world charm Bali and enjoying every bit of our Bali Villa, where we were pampered where every need was seen to by our butler, driver, cook and houseboys. The chill-out was amazing and the five day trip there seemed like forever with the days passing by so slowly. We came back for a week, wanting to move to our new home, but it was not yet ready with some reno delays, we were back for vincent and phyllis' wedding too...and we headed to Tasmania and Melbourne for part two of our honeymoon where it was absolute adventure every single day - loads of trekking round beautiful national parks (love cradle mountain!), flea markets, trout fishing, cherry-picking, watched WICKED the broadway musical in melbourne, shopping!!!, eating of very good food (italian pasta, steak that melt-in-the-mouth kind, thai food, indian cuisine...etc), cadbery chocolate factory, brighton beach with the colourful beach houses...:) We drove a total of 1086km from Lanceston to Hobart in Tasmania over 6 days and flew to Melbourne for another 6 days of holiday and pure bliss. :) The holiday seemed like forever and I sometimes got quite emotional, missed home and family, and I was half-wishing also that we could fly back faster to see our dream home accomplished (michael, our designer was helping us settle the house stuff while we were away) and I was so excited to come tback to see how everything turned out. :) We stayed at Jurong East for another week before we started moving into our DREAM HOME ...so was extremely busy during december period just cleaning up and packing up our home to make it really cosy and 'liveable'. The cleaning was no joke - mopped like 7-8 times to rid the dust in one day. Backache ah! haha!:) We LOVE OUR HOME! And we have turned 'HOMEBODIES' - I hardly venture out into city now after work - so beat after 12 hours in school and just wanna be home to chill, rest, and sleep on our very comfy mattress:) And soak in the bath too - it's really very very very shiok to soak in bath after an extremely exhausting day at work - no kidding - i get to school by 6.30am and leave school 5-6 plus, and it's so tiring - dunno how it will be when SIM starts: ) : ) : ) I'm the prefect mistress this year and have to be in charge of discipline this month, so gotta be in school very early and be on stage to get the school ready for assembly. :) Thank God my dad still sends me to school - if not - i will be even more tired - I leave my home at 6.15am and wake up at a crazy time at 5.30am....used to wake up one hour later at 6.30am. Yep, so WORK is pretty crazy now - dunno how I will be coping and managing, praying that God will sustain me and revive my love for Him..need to surrender once again to Him. He has been so good, so good to us - it's time to give having been blessed so much. And yea, Louise, Shuyun and Ling's coming over to our home for our birthday celebration together before Louise flies back to Perth to settle in there. :) We are gonna be TWENTY-SEVEN!! oh my gosh. 27 is sounding really old. :( haha! What to do, gotta face reality of the busyness of life and growing old, and definitely the reality that I have a God whom I can place my trust for all the needs of my life and my family.

WE ARE MARRIED!!!: ) It feels totally awesome to have James Boy next to me when I wake up in the morning...like wow, he's my husband!:) :) :) Our Wedding Day went beautifully well - it's amazing how God provided such cool weather throughout the day and we did not experience a drop of rain while travelling to and fro different places...considering that Singapore has been having erratic weather for the past few days before our wedding with the sudden downpours which would totally ruin the beautiful day of celebration. :) And how He blessed us tremendously with family and friendships...people who love us and share in the joy of our holy matrimony. :) Like what Jasmine was saying during one of our dinner dates...that it's when your friends share the joy also together with you then you feel even more happy that people are happy with you:) Thanks to Jasmine, our trusted Wedding Co-ordinator, most parts of our wedding went on seamlessly well and we started on time for our church wedding and even for dinner!:) :) :) The guests were arriving early and on time too - so that was really good - thankfully no need need to drag. :) Every part of the wedding was memorable and special to us. The morning gatecrashing was hilarious - for those who have washed the video at night - the Prince battling the fiery dragon, amidst other 'battles', to win the heart of the Princess:) I like all the jie meis dressed prettily in purple and pink :) Sure gives a strong sense of unity and togetherness - I too was dressed in my purple bathrobe during the make-up!:) haha! The handsome xiong di came dressed smartly in white shirt, black pants and the ROFF purple ties we bought them!:) :) :) The Tea Ceremony at Church was pretty hilarious cause we had to greet my uncles and aunties in the traditional way when all along, I just greet them Uncle ______ and Aunty _______. haha!:) Love my beautifully-dressed flowergirls (Avelyn, Christabel and Shauna) and pageboy Jed:) :) :) They were pretty excited about their roles!:) :) :) And we were busy taking polariod shots in the waiting room...before walking down the aisle. I missed Junwen's jazz songs though : ( Would have loved to hear him sing and play with his magic fingers!: ) :) :) Olive 3 Musicians were all set and ready and when the time came, we walked down to aisle to the melodious tune of Canon in D :) :) :) Love the classic, grand and elegant feel of the song which is perfect for walking down the aisle - so I think!: ) hehe!: ) Soon, I was handed to James, who was very nervous!:) :) Could feel the trembling in his hands and the quick beating of his heart...when I held his hand..:) Soon after, the Emcees Adrian and Rosey passed the time to me where I rendered the song, 'Can't Wait to Marry You' - with the flash slides done by my NTU CF friend, Jaimes - flashed on the screen. I sprung the surprise real soon and just sang the song that I have been rehearsing for months. Haha!:) Kinda la!: ) Nothing beats singing with the powerful mike which gave the ooomph in my singing - cos I was really having a bad throat few days before the wedding cos was so busy...: ( Mission accomplished!:) Surprise was successful and it brought a smile to James' face. :) Very quickly the time passed, Uncle Chris message was short, sweet and ministering, packed with some humour :) :) :) K, I'm getting a bit bored recounting the day on this blog - haha - I shall relish the memories of our BIG DAY  in my heart and looking forward to Eadwine's photographs and Wedding Paparazzi's full video!: ) Rushing off to meet Wenqi...:) Yeah:) But I'm definitely happily married:) And just to add, our honeymoon to Bali was absolutely beautiful and perfect to say the least. Check out Balivillas.com : ) Recommended getaway place!
